IT AND SECURITY
For IT and security
Two questions come up every time: why this rather than the Copilot licences you already pay for, and where the documents actually go. The second is the harder one.
01
“We already pay for Copilot. Why another tool?”
A fair challenge, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a feature list. The overlap is real: both read documents and draft text, and for a single person answering a single question the difference is small.
The difference shows up at scale. On a large bid, twenty question owners each prompting their own assistant produce twenty different answers to the same question, in twenty registers, with no record of what was asked or which evidence was used.
That is a governance problem rather than an AI problem, and it is the one worth solving.
02
The security position
The short version is below. The full detail — controls, certifications, sub-processors and incident process — sits at trust.blue-edge.ai.
Documents stay inside the Microsoft Azure boundary. The models are provisioned through Microsoft and do not train on your content. Access is by named role, only when you ask for support on a specific bid, and it is logged. Draft wording, pending engineering sign-off.
03
Why not build it ourselves?
A fair question from a team with Azure, a data team and Copilot Studio. You could build the plumbing, and the model would be the same model.
What you would be rebuilding is twenty years of knowing how a bid is scored: what an evaluator rewards, how a question decomposes, which evidence answers it and which merely relates to it. That is where the intellectual property sits, and it is not in the pipeline.
04
Will we be locked in?
No. Your documents stay in your own document store — SharePoint, for example. Your libraries, folder structure, tone of voice and every draft are ordinary files, exportable in ordinary formats, at any point including the day you leave. Draft wording, pending engineering sign-off.
